We returned to Brookings in early April and got settled at home, sort of. On May 11 we headed to Portland for our flight to Kauai through Honolulu. We spent the next two weeks relaxing and celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Can you believe it????
We stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation on Poipu Beach and had a great time. We returned to Brookings on May 26 and spent a couple of weeks getting settled again, leaving June 12 for Sunriver, Oregon where we continued our celebration with our kids and grandkids.
What a blessing that was. It was the first time we were able to have everbody all together and we had a wonderful time. The setting was beautiful and restful, the house was great, being recently remodeled and in a great location amongst the pine trees. There was swimming, bike riding, games, time to talk, walking, great food, horseback riding, touring, great food, time to talk, golf, great food.....well you get the picture!
Coming back home a week later and trying to get settled again we definitely feel a void. It was so neat being together.
