Dr. Zmolek told Helga today that she can start putting full weight on her leg. That is very good news. Tomorrow she goes to Physical Therapy and will start walking with a cane for a while, most likely, then no assistance! She will also get trained on climbing steps and hopefully we will move back into the motorhome.
That might not be a done deal as we evaluate where we can stay, location, price,etc. There as some advantages to staying at the hotel and moving into a regular room instead of a handicap room. With the cost of fuel if we stay at an
RV park way out of town it might not make a lot of sense since we get a really good rate here.
In any event we will be staying in the Santa Barbara area until about May 1 and then hopefully be ready to head for Brookings. Helga's back is still hurting a lot so we're making trips to UCLA in between physical therapy.
The SeeYa was in Ventura for some repair work for a couple of weeks waiting for parts. Glad to have it back with my office set up in it again. That gives us a little breathing room.
