Yippee! We're finally out of the hotel, after nine weeks. We're back in the motorhome and we're at Ocean Mesa again this week. Next week we'll be at Elks Santa Barbara until May 1. That's the good news.
Our goal is to head to Brookings on May 1, having our stuff moved at the same time. However, tomorrow, April 17, Helga will be examined by a new doctor regarding her pelvic pain which may result in changing our plans.
Her hip has been healing very nicely, thank you Lord! But, the pelvic pain has continued and the adjustments to the nerve stimulation device have not been helpful. The new doctor, at Pacific Pain Physicians, may have to perform revision surgery to adjust the location of the leads. Fortunately they are in Santa Barbara and will not necessitate wild rides to LA. That's the not so good news.
We are so happy to be back in the See Ya, even though here at Ocean Mesa we are actually paying more a night than at the hotel. A big part of the reason for that is that after 30 days at the hotel we didn't have to pay visitor tax any more. Wow, we became residents of Santa Barbara again for awhile even though we want to really be residents of Brookings, Oregon now!
Ocean Mesa fills up on weekends when the weather is good but during the week, like now, we are one of four rigs total, leaving 76 empty spots. It is pricey, it is 12 miles from downtown Goleta, 20 from Santa Barbara. But, definitely the nicest RV park in the area.
