We've been at Laurel Pond Resort since June 13 with many 45 minute each way trips to our daughter Stephanie's house. The driving part gets old fast and we've tried a few different routes to break the boredom. Grand-daughter Erin has stayed overnight with us a few times and we also stayed overnight at their house the last two nights.
Part of the reason for that was because Stephanie re-injured her knee and had arthroscopic surgery yesterday so we watched Erin at her house. The surgery went fine and Stephanie seems to be recovering quickly.
We've spent time watching Erin compete in swim meets (and taking a pizza break!) and participate in a piano recital. She is a fish in the water and when she is racing she really competes and does quite well. There have been a few shopping trips in which somehow I did not participate, being involved in repairs, etc. on the motor home.
Oh, and we've been eating and eating and eating out! Stephanie, Erin and Kevin posing for a shot at Klein's Fish Market Waterside Restaurant in Belmar. We've enjoyed barbeque's at our site and at Stephanie's. Cousin Ginny and her dog Sadie joined us one day and was great seeing them. We've made more than one trip to Meil's in Stockton, New Jersey on the Delaware River for great meals. We also went to see Toy Story 3 together and really enjoyed it.
We also got some extremely sad news from Nick and Judy's family on the West Coast. Judy's sister, Ruth, was shot and killed by her estranged husband Guy who then took his own life. We're praying for peace for them all as they deal with this tragedy.

Well you missed the fireworks at the port. But I have to tell you that viewing them from your new porch was awesome! Well it was really a bit warm, so we sat in chairs in the street and Jim and Diann were in the golf cart. OOPS...maybe I shouldn't have told on them. We are fine. Glad to know you are having an enjoyable summer.
