We left Independence on August 16 and continued our "race" to the West with overnight stops at WaKeeney, KS, Breckenridge, CO (2 nights at Tiger Run RV Resort,) Richfield, UT, Las Vegas (Costly stay at the Oasis, well the Oasis wasn't costly,) arriving in Fresno/Clovis on the 21st to spend some time with our son Nick, Judy, George, Chris and Zoe.
We had a fun five days with them, as well as catching up on some shopping and eating well! We then spent a night in Redding and two in Medford which included a Costco stock up run before arriving home in Brookings on Sunday, August 29. Well, after a couple of weeks of very warm to hot weather we got treated to the first rain in a few months and a cool couple days before it warmed up to mid seventies the last several.
It's good being home and seeing our friends and neighbors who thought we had disappeared although we both would rather have taken our time crossing the country, you know, something like a month or two!
Now time to start getting ready for Europe!!!
