| Surprise Visitor at Emerald Desert |
On the first of February we returned to Emerald Desert in Palm Desert and spent two very relaxing and enjoyable months with lots of sunshine and almost no rain. We caught up with old friends and made new ones. Our neighbors were mostly from Canada and the Northwest with a few Californians in the mix. We had visits from the Urwicks, Frosts and Underwoods which was wonderful. It was good to see Linda again as well as the Nelsons.

As usual, we checked out places to eat in the valley, returning to old favorites and finding new ones. One evening, with BC friends and neighbors, Dave and Rosemary, we went out to dinner in their car a candy apple red Ford Edge Limited. I, George, sure liked the way it rode and looked. So, one thing led to another, drove three of them and bought one to replace the trusty Honda CRV as my driver and "toad!"
Our stay in Emerald Desert over we drove to San Diego to meet up with Stephanie, Kevin and Erin who flew out from New Jersey. We had a fun three days including Sea World and Balboa Park. While they stayed at the Marriott on Coronado we stayed at Santee Lakes in Santee which while half an hour away is a very nice RV park. We all then traveled up to Santa Barbara where we enjoyed our time together for several days before they headed north. We took care of medical appointments and got together with a few Santa Barbara friends. And, oh yes, we explored possibly returning to Santa Barbara to live in the Samarkand Retirement Community for six months a year as we continue our wandering lifestyle as long as we are able.

| Seven Feathers RV Resort |
We then drove to Clovis/Fresno to spend several days with Nick, Judy, George, Chris, Jeni and Zoe. We had a great time and then started our trek home, stopping in Red Bluff at the Durango RV Resort which is a very nice park well worth coming back to again. We are now at the Seven Feathers RV Resort in Canyonville, Oregon, absolutely the best RV resort attached to a casino.
Next stop, home!!!
