We are in Red Bay, Alabama getting some warranty work done on our motorhome at the Tiffin Factory. We've been here a week and will probably be here at least another week. We are fortunate to be in a full hookup site although it's on a converted airfield runway!| Natchez Trace Parkway north of Tupelo |
Good News, Bad News
Yesterday, we received a phone call from our friend Jim back home in Oregon. He is the manager of the community where our home is located. He called to say that he had just received a significant deposit on our house and we are now in escrow to sell it on or before December 15.Wow, that came as a total surprise! We had it for sale last year and had zero interest. We took it off the market but asked him to show it if he had some interested people while we left on our extended trip. He had shown to several people but had received no serious interest until yesterday.
The good news is that we will be moving back to Santa Barbara where we will rejoin many good friends. The bad news is that we will be leaving Brookings where we will leave many good friends. But, because of how we travel, we hope to have many more times back to Brookings.
Now, instead of heading to Florida then slowly working our way west during the winter, when we are through here we will head back to Oregon directly and get things going for the move. We are also sorry that we will miss brother Sam and Roberta in Florida as well as other friends along the original route. Hope to see y'all some other time soon!

God's plans are usually a surprise but always the best. Will be praying for your safe travels and for a smooth sale on your home.
much LOVE
Wow, that is a big change of plans. But, Congrats on the sale of your house. Too bad we won't be able to visit you in Brookings this coming summer. Guess, we'll have to settle for funky Santa Barbara. Now you gotta move "stuff" again. Welcome Home!!
You do have a beautiful home and I can see why some lady wanted it probably begging her husband to buy it!!
HOw wonderful for you both! God bless.
