My wife, Helga, had hip surgery on Tuesday, January 29 at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. The surgery went well and she is taking more steps each time with the therapists in the hospital. She is in quite a bit of pain, not from the surgery, but from her previous injury in the tail bone area, since she cannot tuck up her knees while lying down at this time. The pain meds make her pretty dopey. If she doesn't progress quickly she will be moving to a rehab facility for awhile before being able to go home.
I'll be moving from Ocean Mesa RV Park to the Santa Barbara Elks Club until it is time for her to come "home." At that time we'll move into Extended Stay America since she will not be climbing steps into the motorhome for awhile.
So, of course, living in an RV isn't always fun!
