Over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend we went on our annual outing to San Simeon State Park and Cambria with good friends. The weather was great and we had a wonderful time with everyone. Dry camping was okay but I think we're really getting spoiled with full hookups like we have here at Ocean Mesa.
On our way home Monday the rain started and wow, have we had some. One night Santa Barbara officially received about 4 inches. I'm not sure how much we had but we did have heavy rain, small hail and at least one lightning flash that took out our electricity over night. A lot of the hail was still on the ground the next morning, looking like snow. The mountains were covered with snow.
