Yesterday and today we drove through the Redwoods. Yesterday above Eureka, we drove through Redwood National and State Park on US 101. Today, continuing south of Eureka on US 101 we drove through the Avenue of the Giants. The picture is a view from the side of the road where we stopped for lunch.
It's funny but the Redwoods start around Brookings where we live. A neighbor said the other day that as he was driving along, "Gosh, I live here!" It is beautiful......
We stopped at Ukiah, another short day. Good place to be so we can make it through the Bay Area tomorrow in between rush hours.
