Prima Bistro, great place for lunch in Langley

On the ferry leaving Anacortes
One day we took a trip to Whidbey Island, just to the south of Anacortes. Stops in Coupeville and Langley which are the two, go-to, village shopping areas on the island were fun. Great scenery especially at Deception Pass which separates Whidbey from Fidalgo.

Sailing in the San Juans
Another day found us on the ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island.

They go on forever

Great view and lunch at the Downrigger in Friday Harbor

Great walking on the Tommy Thompson Trail
Fidalgo Bay Resort has a great setting and some great advantages such as the Tommy Thompson Trail which runs through the park from town and crosses across the bay. Some of it is on the ground and some on a bridge. Great for walking, biking, running.....
We got together with Roger and Janet again, meeting for Happy Hour at Anthony's. Great seeing them here and look forward to seeing them again next February in Palm Desert. Also had a surprise visit from Alfa (our previous motorhome) friends Sid and Barb Zielke as well as Joe Schoenmaker who pointed out that the Tommy Thompson Trail was previously a railroad bed. It was great seeing them!
We really enjoyed our stay but it came to an end, yesterday, May 16, our 54th wedding anniversary! We celebrated in Abbotsford, British Columbia as we crossed the border and are staying in Aldergrove for a week.

Sure going to miss this view!!!!
