Through Ohio, into Pennsylvania and back to Ohio?

We left Granger on Monday and worked our way east through the rest of Indiana and into Ohio on I-80 going just south of Toledo and Millsburg where many people lost their lives and a high school was destroyed the day before.  From the interstate you had no idea that something like that had happened.

We continued east south of Cleveland and Lake Erie but with no idea except from the GPS that they were there.  That is the problem of traveling in a large motor home and towing a car.  We tend to stick to the freeways and do our exploring by car when we are parked.  Since we didn't plan on spending a lot of time on this portion of our trip we are seeing things only near where we stay overnight for two nights but not much in between stops.

We arrived at the Mercer/Grove City KOA Kampground in Northwestern Pennsylvania in the late afternoon after stopping for fuel.  I noticed something not to good while driving though.  The volt meter on the dashboard kept dropping to around 12 volts the last couple of days and gradually a warning light came on followed by a check engine light.  I turned on the generator which brought everything back okay.  Checking with Tiffin and the online forum resulted in confirming we probably have a bad alternator.  We will head back to Hubbard, Ohio, about 45 minutes in the morning to the Cummins facility where a new alternator, which Tiffin is shipping overnight, will hopefully be waiting for us.  Actually we will be probably doing the waiting which will probably keep us from making our next scheduled stop.

In the meantime we really got a slow start today.  I can't believe I slept in until 9am, about 3 hours later than usual.  Not having taken a nap for a few weeks might have contributed to that, probably catching up!

Once we got out, we traveled a few miles in beautiful countryside and found the Iron Bridge Inn  where we had a late lunch that was great.  I had Crab Stuffed Sole accompanied by a baked potato with all the trimmings and a pint of Mojo IPA beer.  Sounds very diet conscious, right?  Helga had Filet Mignon tips with Risotto.  It was a historic building, great setting, wonderful food.  Total price = $36 including tax!
